sunset junction 2004

every year near the end of the summer
thousands and thousands of los angelinos
take off their shirts and walk down sunset blvd.

in the racially diverse and sexually free intersection
between east hollywood, los feliz and silverlake,
the sunset junction is a beautiful amalgom
of hipsters, homos, mexicans, blacks, children,
fortunate tourists and natives
who park their cars for once and get out
for two days of food, dancing, and rocking.
