 the final word on amsterdam, ads on this blog, sponsorships, free trips that people want to give me, free shit that people want to give me, free head that people want to give me, free advice that people want to give me, and free links that people want to give me
this blog has one purpose - to get girls to fall in love with me
everything else that falls in my lap outside of that goal is what we in america call gravy
that includes but is not limited to: inspiring other bloggers to blog, inspiring advertisers to give me cold hard cash so their products and/or messages get seen on this page and capture your attention, inspiring publishers to give me books to review which i rarely do but keep trying i really did like the Post Secret book, teaching the world how to sing, propigating slightly socialist and truly Libertarian ideals and poltical candidates, spreading the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, turning people on to the rock group Tsar (not pictured), making people think, making people smile, making people laugh, letting people realize that theyre not alone, letting people see parts of los angeles specifically east hollywood, helping people share their pictures and videos through Buzznet, helping people know that if a 114 year old unhandsome bald man who swears to be Black but looks mexican can attain some level of popularity and noteriety so can you
etc
the city of amsterdam has been around for hundreds if not millions of years. although its true that holland dot com aka the dutch tourism board is sending me on this trip in a few days in hopes to benefit the tourism of amsterdam aka reach out to americans so that they will consider vacationing and or visiting and or partying heartilly in holland, it's safe to assume that the gorgeous port town will survive my visit and any criticism or praise that i unleash onto it through this blog and my buzznet account.
it's also a safe bet that i will enjoy the free flight, free hotel room, and amusements that i will experience in what i have previously deemed my third favorite town in the world (isla vista, la, ...)
likewise its equally a safe assumption that holland.com will benefit from advertising on this blog for a month and the good people of the dutch tourism board will appreciate the year-long link that i will give to their fine website.
some want to find evil in this. some, usually Republicans, seem to be distrustful of win-win situations, especially ones that dont include them.
do i need a trip to holland right now? not particularily. im very busy at work trying to create something very special to Buzznet, we're also in beta with our Video product, and Tsar is supporting Social Distortion here in southern california.
but when the Lord gives you a bundle of tulips you make lemonade, er, tulipade... or something. particularily when it is an historic business relationship between a foreign country and a very small selection of bloggers. therefore im overly flattered and totally stoked to take part in it and i hope that i come across as a responsible participant and people of other tourism boards start to see that some of their budget should go to bloggers like me.
(which means bloggers like you.)
do i deserve this? no. of course not.
do i deserve women falling in love with me because of things that i type into a blank screen? definately not.
 do i deserve my rent being paid because of ads on my blog. hells no.
but i will take it and i will do so with a small particle of class, and i will tell all of you about it, and i will do my best to make everyone feel good about their choices.
with that said, there are a few advertisers who i would not do business with, and im sure there are those who would not want to be associated with me. in fact i know of one texas company who once did lots of business with me but doesnt want to any more. and you know what, fine. i have no hard feelings toward them, infact i totally understand.
the same way id understand if Nike ever wanted to put an ad on the busblog and i told them that i wouldnt do it for less than $50k. i dont believe in companies who exploit overseas workers to produce the highest priced shoes in the world. if a company says that they use overseas help to keep their costs down, that i can understand, but when you exploit impovershed nations by paying those workers a few dollars a day, but then when it turns out that the shoes that they made have a retail price of over $100, then theres nothing other to describe the situation except greed.
which is just one reason why i dont wear nikes.
and a good reason why i have a hard time with tiger woods, michael jordan, and kobe bryant. rich Black men who dont need the blood money from nike and shouldnt be involved in exploitation.
you'll also never see an ad on this page from the GOP as long as they keep supporting torture in Gitmo and other illegal and immoral and unconstitutional prisons run by the US around the world. perhaps the instapundit has no problem with people being held without representation or hope for a fair trial or the party that supports this type of behavior, but i do. theres nothing that the people at Gitmo have done thats worse than what Saddam has done and he's getting a trial, so why cant these people?
ads from the GOP and the monies that they pay are true blood money, so if Glenn wants it, he can have it.
and although my disclaimer says that nothing in here is true, i think most people realize that im nobody's boy. im nobody's monkey. im nobody's bitch. ask any of my bosses or former bosses - tony pierce will tell you what he feels uncensored no matter whos feelings might get hurt no matter what financial stakes are on the line. i believe its one reason why people trust me. and i also think its a reason why i was chosen to take this trip over other bloggers who get ten times the hits that i do.
so if you think im just going to roll over for the dutch just because they are about to fly me there and hook me up, you dont know tony pierce, and youre probably just projecting.
i am not a republican senator who can be bought.
i am an independent man and blogger in every way.
and thats what pisses the rightwing haters off the most - they know that in a world where respect is earned and not bought, they will always lose.
