one of the gods of blogging is the mighty doc searls

one of the nice things about this festival is you run into legends and doc is a sxsw veteran, but when i saw that he was speaking last week i didnt expect to see him last night.

hope your flight today back to harvard was fun!

right now im in a panel called Annoying Things Bands Do. music panels dont pack them in at panles the way interactive does. and there's fewer panels. maybe the music industry is shrinking? maybe dot com people like to go to panels to learn all the different aspects of creating, building, marketing, and selling their stuff.

club owner on the panel: "i hire sweet, socially awesome people."

fellow club owner: "and they're sober."

original club owner: "mostly sober."

later:

"the opening band always gets screwed"

very funny and frank discussion. and theyre naming names
